What a week it’s been. I’m finally getting a chance to talk about this Creatives of Color mixer that I hosted this past week. I thought I would talk about it on here, but honestly, it is still super emotional for me.

Bruh, I’ve been going through it personally, and this event really meant so much to me. It was everything I could’ve wished for and more. So many beautiful black people collaborating and creating. The word ‘community’ always comes to mind for me. In that space, we were able to uplift each other and encourage one another to pursue creative endeavors and not to doubt our ability to shine. In a world that is constantly trying to dim our light, we were burning bright that night. I was in awe that so many creatives like me, wanted a space to engage collectively and bond in that manner. In a city of millions, it felt like a little family was blossoming. I truly am still in shock at the turnout, and I thank each every person who took time out of their day to join me.
