Ask About Me

“As a black woman, the decision to love yourself just as you are is a radical act. And I’m as radical as they come.”
Bethanee Epifani J. Bryant

Welcome.

Who am I? A Nigerian-American woman, the child of immigrants, a sister, a partner, a friend. In addition to that, a social worker, adjunct professor, published author, & freelancer. A Jane of all Trades, if you will.

What’s this site about? Well, it’s started off as a space to discuss the complexities of relationships. I had the opportunity to share stories from Black men and women on the topics of love, sex, and dating.

That was pretty dope. In fact, I wrapped up ten years of love with a book, AnOpenSecret: Essays on Love

Now, ya girl is in her thirties, and forever evolving. I will be focusing on centering Black stories, exploring relationships from a different angle, and adding additional space to talk about wellness and social justice.

Hope you enjoy, fam.

Love,

Moradeyo
